ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA - SEPTEMBER 27: Clouds from the approaching Hurricane Ian darken the sky on September 27, 2022 in St Petersburg, Florida. Ian is expected in the Tampa Bay area Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

On Tuesday’s Mark Levin Show, Florida braces for hurricane Ian and after ignoring him, President Biden finally spoke with Gov Ron DeSantis to discuss steps to prepare. While this is happening, we have a Democrat suggesting that voting Democrat will help stop hurricanes. Also, the DOJ’s FBI has become a Democrat Party Stasi. What they’ve done to Donald Trump, what they’ve done to citizens that peacefully attended January 6th demonstrations, and we’ve seen what they’ve done to cover up for Joe and Hunter Biden.  Later, the Democrats resisted the Civil Rights act, and it wouldn’t have passed without Republicans. Democrats have long embraced bigotry despite the media’s efforts to cover it up. Afterward, Washington Senate candidate Tiffany Smiley calls in to discuss her campaign. Smiley says her opponent is a rubber stamp for Biden, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.

Hour 1 Segment 1

Now to national program. But a lot of these issues affect the whole nation, even when we talk about specific areas of the country like Florida. This is a massive hurricane, it’s massive in terms of wind, it’s massive in terms of intensity, it’s massive in terms of size. It’s kind of hit the west coast of Florida. They’re not exactly sure where, but its wingspan is enormous. Florida has over 22 million people. It’s now bigger than New York. It’s right behind Texas, and when you’re talking about cities like Tampa and Orlando, and as it moves east, you’re talking about all these areas on the East Coast. And obviously the worst part of a hurricane is when you’re slammed by the heaviest of the winds and the rain and hurricanes within them. They have these tornadoes. And also, you see the the waves can be 10, 15 feet, I think about that. Sliming up on the beaches and of course, they’re talking now about a potential of a foot of rain in some areas, which is just really unimaginable. We shall see. We shall see. But when I look at the the breadth of this thing, they talking about this massive tropical storm, a tropical storm is nothing to sneeze at either. Winds up to 100 miles an hour, massive amount of rain, and it looks like, at least in part as the hurricane hits the western part of the state, you’re going to have huge swaths of tropical storms across the eastern part of the state as it moves through the heart. Of the of the state, so that’s how it’s tracking right now, I can tell you, having a home there and having family, their family still there, mostly on the east side, what I do during the course of the year and be wise for people to do this. A lot of people living in Florida have been through a hurricane. Millions of people now in Florida have never been through a hurricane in the last five years. The time to stock up on water and toilet paper and paper towels and batteries and flashlights and so forth is after hurricane season. In other words, during the part of the year when these things are widely available and when I leave Florida and I often do excuse me, between Florida and Virginia, I fill up my car in Florida and leave it in the garage. So it’s always ready to go. And if there are other things you need plywood and so forth and so on, which doesn’t do me any good, but it may do other people again the time to get that. His before circumstances like this, so I’m telling people this because it could be more hurricanes and they don’t necessarily hit Florida, they could hit the Carolinas, they could hit the Northeast. Who knows? Who knows? So as they track this, it’s worth keeping an eye on it. The other thing I do is we have these big beach towels and bath house. One of the things that happens in a hurricane is you get the horizontal rain. It doesn’t rain north. The south, it rains horizontally because the winds are so massive. And even in the best built homes, it’s about 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes the seals start to give. On the windows and so forth, I see one and make sure you have towels or something as well as. You know, the silver black, I call it electrical tape, people call other stuff. Just to have it then the other thing, of course, is a battery operated radio or even a crank radio. And we put a lot of canned foods in the pantry. It’s pretty much it. Best thing to do is get your ass out of there. But a lot of people can’t do that, particularly in areas that are not going to take a direct hit. So anyway, I’m just thinking out loud and speaking out loud about about these situations, which are, of course, quite frightening. They’ve had tremendous progress in their housing codes in Florida over the years. Of course, that doesn’t help you with a direct hit, but most of these homes are built in the last 10 years or so to 170 mile an hour winds, at least that’s what they say. That doesn’t mean the roof will stay on. And of course, there are things you do in your home. If you’re stuck in one of these things, you stay away from the windows, period. Not a lot of basements in Florida because there’s a lot of sand. So Florida is the freest state, it’s the freest place in the world, actually, and it is a beautiful place and I happen to love the weather. I love the ocean. I always have. But you need be ready for ugly things. And every part of the country, you know, has different situations, some are in Tornado Alley all throughout the southeast. And the south, Tennessee, Alabama, so forth and so on, some are more vulnerable to earthquakes out in California, parts of the Midwest, some are more vulnerable to flooding. We’ve seen those disasters, too, has nothing to do with climate change. It’s to do with the nature of nature, nature. And we wish all of our fellow citizens the best, and if you’re caught in a thing, hunker down and get ready, don’t panic. Just think about the things you need, the things you need to do, little things. If you have a porch or balcony, get everything off of it so they don’t become, you know, airborne for you or anybody else. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, get them inside all of them. Again, won’t do anybody any good tonight, but should always have a first aid kit, we have one in every house, doesn’t mean we’re going to do, you know, emergency surgery. But just in case something. And the most valuable thing you have is yourself, your family, your pets, and that’s the primary concern of Governor DeSanctis at a press conference today. One go there will be catastrophic flooding and life threatening storm surge. And so if you’re on Florida’s Gulf Coast from Naples all the way through the Tampa Bay area and some of the counties north of that, that could be something that happens if you’re under an evacuation order, is evacuated to to higher ground. That is going to be safe from the type of surge and flooding. And now it appears it’s going to hit a little more south, a little bit more east cut to go. And our recommendation is to heed those evacuation orders. What those evacuation orders are doing is identifying people that live in areas that are vulnerable to major storm surge. And that storm surge can be life threatening. There’s certain things we can protect against in terms of the wind and the structures. And we’ve got great building codes. But when you have five to 10 feet of storm surge, that is not something that you want to be a part of. And Mother Nature is a very fearsome adversary. So please heed those warnings. You do not need to evacuate to another state. You don’t need to go hundreds of miles away. Their shelters that are open and all of these counties at this point, the important part of is if you’re under an evacuation order, is evacuate to to higher ground. That is going to be safe from the type of surge and flooding that we’re that we’re fearing with this storm. And then cut three go. Make sure you know your evacuation zones so you can find that at Florida Disaster Dogs Plan, prepare Florida disaster dogs plan, prepare. And of course, if you are called upon to evacuate, you know, make sure you take care of your pets. Don’t leave your pets behind when you when you’re evacuating. And there’s pet friendly shelters, there’s there’s things that can be done to take to take care of pets. We want to make sure. So there is information about planning for your pet at Florida. Disaster Dog Forward Plan prepare. We want to make sure that we’re taking care of our friends. Meanwhile, I want you to hear this, America. Wherever you live, wherever you hear my program, I want you to hear this from National Review. Pam McGlocklin, picture the media reaction of Republican president refused to talk to a Democratic governor who is facing a major hurricane. Actually, you don’t have to imagine it when Donald Trump is president. He called Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosillo about Hurricane Marie in twenty seventeen and visited the island in October. But two years later, Rosillo blasted Trump for not visiting the island to discuss its recovery. NBC News blared. Trump refuses meeting over hurricane relief, Puerto Rico governor says. Rossella said the White House declined his requests to meet the president directly without giving a reason, and Vanity Fair was harsh. Trump blames Puerto Rico for inconveniencing him with another potential hurricane, which, of course, is ridiculous. Ridiculous. So Trump actually did visit the island, but they were angry, didn’t and visited again now with Florida under threat from hurricane and the director of FEMA has spoken with Florida Governor Rhonda Santurce, but confirm that Joe Biden has not. Even though Biden has spoken to two Democratic mayors, as well as a Republican mayor who’s done appearances with Charlie Crist to Democratic opponent, Biden was planning to do an event of his own this week to help Crist campaign. As Business Insider notes, the silence is unusual, quote, Presidents and governors typically hold a phone call at a time of natural disasters so presidents can offer federal support and bipartisanship. And Biden last year was willing to meet with dissenters following the Surfside building collapse. So this makes Biden look petty and small. Then again, perhaps this is really just an implicit concession that Biden isn’t up to the call or is incapable of being of assistance. So, ladies and gentlemen, it looks like a horrific natural disaster is going to befall the people of Florida. A state with 22 million American citizens. Cities large and small. And Joe Biden has not offered to call or has not called the governor to offer assistance. Instead, he held his own brief press event at the White House, saying that he had directed FEMA to do. But in terms of actually talking to the governor to coordinate, as presidents have done in every party, regardless of the party of the governor. Regardless of the party, the top political leader of a particular area. Joe Biden has not. Now, what do you think about that, America? What do you think about that, and I want you to think about that, and then we have Amy Klobuchar, who pretends to be a moderate, able to work with Republicans, wants to be the next president. She’s on the Morning Joe show today. And here’s what she says. Cut five, go. We just did something about climate change for the first time in decades. That’s why we’ve got to win this as that hurricane bears down on Florida. We got a win in the midterms. We understand that. But none of that has stopped us from deciding we’re going to put our differences aside and get some things done. That is a bizarre concept. But she sounds almost ecstatic about a hurricane hitting the state of Florida because these ideological extremists seem to believe that when we have bad natural tragedies and events, it demonstrates that we have to destroy our economy and embrace their ideological faith, climate change. Didn’t she seem excited, Mr. Producer? Kitty, I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 2

You see, ladies and gentlemen, here’s a deal. This is very, very important to understand whether it’s an earthquake, whether it’s a hurricane, any natural disaster, whether it’s a virus, whether it’s you or Donald Trump or an economic system, people like Amy Klobuchar are. Our dad had idealogues and nothing can disrupt the progressive plan that is the Marxist plan, whether it’s Mother Nature or economic reality. Our national sovereignty. Or safe streets, nothing is permitted to disrupt their plan, and their plan is to empower themselves to rejigger the society to social engineer to their heart’s desire. Even they can’t be clear what it is in the end, but this is how they think. And so any time the weather, the climate can be used to their advantage, they’re going to exploit it. And that’s what Amy Klobuchar did. She has no compassion. She has no heart. That’s why there used to be stories about how she brutalized her staff. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 3

In many ways, the Federal Bureau of Investigation under the Department of Justice has become a form of Democrat Party Stussy. I say that with tremendous regret, having spent several years working at the Department of Justice in the Reagan administration, working very closely with two former directors of the FBI. And having many friends there, all of whom are retired now, but this is a different FBI, those men would have stood up to what they’re being forced to do, what they’re being told to do, and apparently what they like to do. You see what they’ve done to the ex-president and they’re still doing it. You see what they’ve done to men and women who showed up at the rally on January six on the Capitol property. I’m talking about those who were not violent and didn’t break a damn thing. Yet you’ve also seen how they’ve covered up for Joe and Hunter Biden. You see how they go after parents. You see there politicization. And we talked the other day. About what they were doing to a a gentleman, a pro-life activist. A practicing Catholic. And there’s more information to report to you this evening. As a reminder, we’ll go to the daily signal, our friend Hans von Spakovsky. The Heritage Foundation in an early morning raid Friday encounters Pennsylvania excuse me, about two dozen FBI agents with weapons drawn pounding on the door. Mark Houck’s home, where he lives with his wife and seven children. The FBI agents arrested Houck based on a federal indictment. Sounds serious, right? OK, domestic terrorist, an American jihadist, a dangerous militia member, a violent felon or someone with a prior history of violence toward law enforcement would require such an overwhelming show of force, not even close. How does a pro-life activist and president of The King’s Men, a Catholic ministry, is no prior criminal record. And he was arrested Friday morning for an alleged violation of the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act known as the Face Act, as we’ve discussed. Again, some potentially serious, doesn’t it, but given that the Obama Biden administration’s prior abuse of the face act, as well as what we know already about the facts here, we have serious reasons to doubt that this is a legitimate case and prudent use of federal law enforcement resources. More likely, it’s a politically motivated abuse of federal law by both the FBI and the Justice Department. It’s not a coincidence, we suspect that this takedown of someone who had committed a misdemeanor assault at best came almost exactly three months after the Supreme Court issued its decision in DOBs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overruled Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand in America. The FBI’s raid of Houck’s home was designed to send a warning to pro-life activists engaging in activities protected by the First Amendment, the Bill of Rights of the Constitution, the Face Act 18 USC Section 248 forbids physically obstructing, injuring, intimidating or interfering with anyone, quote, obtaining or providing reproductive health services. But Congress specified that the Face Act doesn’t prohibit any expressive conduct, including peaceful picketing or other peaceful demonstration protected from legal prohibitions by the First Amendment to the Constitution, including the free speech or free exercise clauses occurring outside a facility. Now, Mr. Houk apparently would regularly drive two hours from his home to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Philadelphia to pray and speak outside the facility, often taking his 12 year old son with him. The federal indictment claims that almost a year ago, he verbally confronted and shoved an escort for an abortion patient, quote, to the ground and, quote, intentionally injured, intimidating, interfered with the escort. What the indictment fails to mention, Seahawks’ wife and a family spokesman, is that on multiple occasions this pro-abortion escort said crude, inappropriate and disgusting things to the house, such as your dad’s a fag and other vulgar slurs. This wasn’t in the US Department of Justice press release that my wife and I read 48 hours ago how I kept telling the court to stop harassing his son, but the escort refused to stop. And when the foul mouthed vulgarian got too close to his son, how protected him. By shoving the escort away, the escort fell down. But according to Houck’s family, the only injury suffered required a Band-Aid on his finger. The incident occurred October twenty one twenty twenty one. The assault claim against Halk is so weak that not only did Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a saurus backed rogue prosecutor, refuse to file any misdemeanor charges against Tauke. But the family says a civil lawsuit filed by the escort was thrown out of court. So the D.A., who’s a radical kook sort of site, wouldn’t bring criminal charges and the civil case, the civil case that was brought against Mr. Houk was thrown out by a federal judge. Now, almost a year later, the FBI shows up at Houck’s home in force and the Justice Department charges him with two felonies for an injury that required a Band-Aid. His conviction could result, according to the Justice Department, and a maximum penalty of, quote, 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release and fines of up to three hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Of course, this is a working man. Got seven little kids and a wife. No doubt Houck’s defense attorney will explore any and all defenses, starting with whether the man shot by Houck even falls within the obtaining or providing requirement of the federal statute. You’ll recall last evening I said and my wife had pointed this out, that this statute doesn’t even apply. Because the so-called volunteer escorting the. I’ll call her the victim into the abortion clinic. He wasn’t getting or he wasn’t obtaining or providing an abortion. It also may be a clear case of self-defense since Jack apparently was defending his 12 year old son from an adult who was harassing and intimidating a minor. Now, the fact is the Justice Department under Democratic administrations has a history of misusing this law, the Face Act, to go after abortion opponents. In 2012, for example, a federal judge in Florida tossed out a face indictment against Mary Susan Pyne, a pro-life activist who had been conducting peaceful sidewalk counseling outside an abortion clinic for years. The judge excoriated the Justice Department for the behavior of its lawyers, saying that the indictment seemed to be, quote, the product of a concerted effort between the government and the abortion clinic to quell Miss Pynes activities rather than to enforce the statute. Now, we’ve seen this kind of collusion by meritless Garland and his thugs before with the National School Boards Association against parents out there who dared to protest at school board meetings. The timing of this indictment of Houck also a suspect and calls into question the motive behind the Justice Department’s move. If this situation played out the way the Justice Department claims, even viewed in the light most favorable to the government. At best. Two minor incidents of misdemeanor assault. Not two felonies significant, the local authorities, including the Philadelphia district attorney, decided not to file charges against it means that for whatever reason, they didn’t even think Houck’s conduct warranted a misdemeanor assault charge, much, much less the two felony charges. He now faces two federal felony charges. Most likely, the local authorities didn’t file charges upon examining the facts. It was at best a case of mutual combat in which two adults got out of hand and ended up in a minor scuffle and such cases, typically neither party is charged in the case, goes away. If this was such an important violation of the face act, what took the Justice Department? Three hundred and thirty seven days to indict Houck. This is the simplest of simple factual cases, how kind of push the score twice unprovoked or he did. Perhaps the more important number is nine, the one that’s how many days lag between the day the Supreme Court issued its decision in the DOBs case and Houck’s and Diceman. Or maybe it’s forty nine, the number of days between Hawks and Dipen in the midterm elections. And why did the justice to. Decide to send armed FBI agents to Houck’s house in a show of force. He has no criminal record, it’s a man of deep faith, is the father of seven children, he’s no threat whatsoever. Contrast this prosecution with the fact that vandals physically have attacked and damaged roughly 70 pro-life pregnancy centers. Which also protected the face act’s definition of a facility that, quote, provides reproductive health services, unquote. So why hasn’t the Department of Justice filed a single face indictment against anyone for those crimes? Real crimes, real felonies? Why not? Clearly, the leadership, the FBI and the Justice Department should be asked these and other important questions surrounding this case. As well as their lack of action against real threats, they should be asked about the propaganda that they push out under the Department of Justice letterhead in their press releases that leave out facts that they give to the media. The American Provida media. From the Democrat Stazi, formerly known as the FBI, it’s shocking and it’s disgusting. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 4

You know, my opening statement on Life, Liberty and Levin on Sunday, which reflects a broader discussion of what we’ve discussed here on radio even before then, was meant as a starting point, not an ending point in our discussion about the American Marxists in the Democrat Party. And I have said over and over again that the Democrat Party is evil and it is evil. I’ve said over and over again that the Democrat Party does not endorse Americanism and it doesn’t it doesn’t endorse constitutionalism and it doesn’t doesn’t endorse American sovereignty. And it doesn’t it doesn’t embrace capitalism. And it doesn’t. It doesn’t believe in the nuclear family, and it doesn’t it doesn’t believe in real science, real science, not political science, behavioral science, psychological science, real science. And it doesn’t. Look at late term abortion and infanticide that the Democrats have supported. This party is an evil party and it has its evil mouthpieces in the media. The American pride that has gone along with the Democrat Party for 100 years, and especially now, well, there’s very few voice voices in the so-called corporate media, very few. And whether it’s a couple like Fox and Eoghan, Newsmax and so forth, they try to destroy them. They try to make it impossible, impossible for people to even access them. The war on Fox now is to get them removed from the cable platforms, not just to attack their advertisers. And they’ve done a good job of that in a way in where they attack them on satellite coverage, because this is the nature of the enemy. Nothing is to disrupt their radical plans. Nothing. Certainly not a constitution, certainly not a constitution. But I want to talk to minorities who might be listening in the audience right now, many of whom do listen in the audience. You’ve been hoodwinked by the Democrat Party for one hundred years. For one hundred years, the Democrat Party was never the party of civil rights, never the major civil rights bills in American history were supported by the Republicans, even 1964 and 65. Without the Republicans, there would have been no civil rights bill. 1957, 1960, Eisenhower’s civil rights bills, the civil rights bills. After the Civil War, the Democrat Party resisted and resisted and resisted reconstruction equality the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. It fought in the Supreme Court. It fought in the streets, the Democrat Party would not even reject lynching famously at its 1924 Democratic convention in New York, where the Klan made a big showing, they couldn’t even reject lynching. And in fact, when spared by Republicans and some Democrats, but mostly Republicans, to have a federal anti lynching law in 1940 and earlier in 1936, Franklin Roosevelt refused to support either one. He didn’t know that. He refused to support the one so afraid he might lose his support in the South. He was desperate to win a third term in 1940. Even Lyndon Johnson, right up until 1957, had voted for a single civil rights piece of legislation for the overwhelming majority of his time in the House and in the Senate. Then in 1957, when Eisenhower was pushing his Civil Rights Act. He went to the White House, told Eisenhower he will block it with the filibuster if they don’t water it down. But he also wanted to be seen as supporting it because he wanted to run for president in 1960, which he did in the Democrat primary, lost the Kennedy. Kennedy would pick him as his veep. 1957, Johnson knew that if he had any chance of being president, he’d have to reverse course, but he didn’t completely reverse course. He played both sides and we have a lot of audio and we have a lot of firsthand witnesses who told us what a racist he was. In the end, he supported the 64 and 65 acts, but he was a racist nonetheless. His personal behavior and conduct, that’s the Democrat Party and among the most racist of the movements in the last hundred years was and has been the so-called progressive movement with its ties to the Confederacy, with its ties, obviously promotion by Franklin Roosevelt and so much more shocking you. I’ll be right back.
