Charles Payne on Life, Liberty and Levin. “That’s the irony of all of this, because there’s a lot of folks who are free marketers, right, or free marketeers, and they reject out of hand what Donald Trump is trying to achieve. And yet it’s one thing for you to be a free trader, but if the person you’re transacting with is not, if they’re cheating you, then the system doesn’t work. And you can stand on principles and you can stand on the soapbox and say this isn’t how it’s done. You know, we believe in free trade, but there’s a fair element to it. There’s a smart element to it that’s eroded over time to the point where it’s crushed our economy and it is shifting wealth. You know, people who are apologists for the status quo say, well, we’re 24% of the world’s GDP and only 4% of the population. I say to that, yeah, we used to be 40% of the world’s GDP, and we don’t let these things start to dwindle to the point of no return. I think, honestly, this is the last chance we’ve got the right to ship.”
