On Friday’s Mark Levin show, Sen. Marco Rubio, was a no show at Thursday’s inaugural Conservative Review Convention. Rubio cancelled 5 minutes before he was scheduled to appear despite Conservative Review offering to adjust the schedule for him to speak. It is clear that he didn’t want to face thousands of conservatives and rubbed it in their noses by sending his surrogates, Sens. Trey Gowdy and Tim Scott to speak for him. This shows a complete lack of class and maturity. Also, Rubio knows that he has been dissembling and acting sneaky about his immigration position. Even to this day he can’t be pinned down on his immigration position. Even those endorsing him such as former Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. Nikki Haley, can’t tell us where he stands on it. Later, Jeb Bush has endorsed the Convention of States for the issues of a balanced budget, line item veto, and term limits. Bush is a RINO, but at least he stands by his record and is honest about it unlike Rubio. Also, how can Donald Trump support the health care mandate and claim to be for the private sector? Trump can’t say he supports the repeal of Obamacare, the private sector and support the mandate at the same time. Finally, now is the time for conservatives to take their philosophy and apply it to this election. Conservatives need to get beyond the talking points and fight for their principles.
